Our family celebration at Higher Buck was delightful, especially the exquisite meals and warm service. The heated towel rail in the cold bathroom was a comforting touch, but road noise from our room detracted slightly from the experience.

It was just a fitting option for a fleeting trip in Waddington (Lancashire) with best value for money ratio. The bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower, though a bit stiff. Make sure to bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Had a lovely lunch at The Higher Buck with my husband. The staff was welcoming, and our meals were beautifully presented and delicious. The only downside was that the bathroom in our room felt a bit chilly. it was a nice experience in a beautiful village.

Charming stay in a picturesque village
I had a delightful stay while attending a wedding in this lovely inn. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, complete with thoughtful touches like tea and biscuits. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious options that started the day off right. the room was a bit hot, and keeping the windows open led to some road noise that could be distracting.

We had a great time staying here with friends. The beautiful village had lovely walks and stunning views. The staff were super friendly, and our room was cozy and comfy. Breakfast was exceptional! I highly recommend checking out the lunch menu as well. the steak pudding was a hit with everyone.
Although the experience was fantastic, the bathroom could have used a bit more attention during our stay.

good food but room for improvement
The dining experience was excellent, with high-quality meals that exceeded expectations. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere welcoming and enjoyable.
The room lacked some modern amenities that I would have preferred.

Couple's unforgettable experience
So, we stayed here recently for a little getaway. The moment we walked in, the staff were warm and welcoming, like they were expecting us. Plus, the food I had! A cheese soufflé followed by the fish and chips, incredible. just incredible! It really hit the spot after a long day. Top-notch service too.
Now, I should say, it wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but honestly, worth it.

Charming pub lunch experience
We popped into this lovely spot for lunch and were super happy with our choices. I had the succulent rump of lamb which was cooked perfectly, while the steak pudding my husband tried was also yummy. The vibe is cozy and the staff are so friendly! Just wish they had a bit more seating in the bar area.

The dog-friendly breakfast area with sausages for our pets enhanced our stay. The homemade meals were exceptional, particularly the ox cheek en croute, which melted in my mouth.
